Russell Henderson

I have spent 3 summers working as an assistant sea kayak guide with Clearwater Paddling in Barra and have helped lead groups around Barra, Harris, North Uist, St Kilda and the Monarch Isles. I've also participated in sea kayak expeditions in Shetland (peer) and Greenland (guided) and have undertaken training at the Falls of Lora.  I'm comfortable in rough water, having come from a surfing background (I have trained as a Beach Lifeguard and Surf Instructor). I'm also quite comfortable upside down thanks to free diving and breath-hold training. I'm a keen Spear fisherman, representing Scotland on the committee of the British Spearfishing Association. I have WiSE Adventure accreditation and I'm a board director of Wild Scotland, the national association for adventure activity and wildlife tourism operators.
