About This Guide
I am currently the owner operator of Geneva Kayak Center – a paddlesports school and guiding company. Started paddling open canoes in whitewater in 1994, whitewater kayaking in 1996 and sea kayaking in 2001. I am also employed as the North American Sales Rep for Tiderace Sea Kayaks. I work at several sea kayaking symposia – upcoming are the Bay of Fundy Sea Kayak Symposium, Lumpy Waters Sea Kayak Symposium and Golden Gate Sea Kayak Symposium. Voting member of the ACA Coastal Kayak Committee.
Advanced Guide Observation
BCU 5* AssessedHave more days than I can remember leading paddlers, skiers, snowshoe, canoeists in backcountry settings. Have lead BCU 4* level paddlers on advanced sea kayak expeditions including “Whittier to Seward” and “Seward to Homer” expeditions. Have lead in Wales (Anglesey), Maine/Bay of Fundy, Coastal Georgia and the Great Lakes.
BCU OWNTPHave planned and executed several 100 trips for clients including working for REI Adventures, Geneva Kayak and sub-contracts to other organizations. Have planned experience ranging from beginner sea kayak trips to guide training sessions to 14 day expeditions for clients.
