About This Guide

I am a scientist, I study the ocean and I use sea kayaking as the means to access and explore this vast oceanic world. I am on the sea on a weekly basis running experiments, training, and conducting scientific work often at the ocean-air or ocean-rock boundaries. My explorations take me to a variety of scenarios in tideraces, in surf, in rock gardens, and shallow reefs. My forte is long-distance endurance paddling in the open ocean, on which I spend between 50-80 hours per month training towards that. I am working towards my ISKGA Guide award
